Back when our economy was in flux ca. 2012, I cautioned nonprofits not to become too dependent upon federal grants. Moving ahead to 2016 and with a new U.S. Administration coming into power next year, what do you think about federal grants. Should nonprofits back off of federal grants – as the GOP has a penchant for cutting government funding – or should they stay the course? Some nonprofits I have worked with are heavily dependent upon federal grants, and I personally think that is unhealthy. From my blog, a 2017 predictions post: https://carolynmappleton.com/2017-nonprofit-predictions/. Your comments on this topic would be very welcome!
